Deputies determine murder-suicide after girl finds parents dead at home

The manner of death has been released after a 16-year-old girl found her parents dead Wednesday afternoon on a back deck at their home on Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, according to Major Anthony Thompson with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.
The husband and wife have been identified as William â??Billâ?? Scott, 68, and Charlotte Nelson Scott, 64.
Autopsies were completed on both, and it was revealed that William shot Charlotte and then shot himself with a small caliber handgun, according to Robeson County Sheriff Kenneth Sealey.
William was currently serving as Interim Pastor at Charity Baptist Church in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
Charlotte was retired from the US Postal Service in Lumberton, North Carolina.
The incident remains under investigation.
