Two men have been arrested and charged with Burglary and Arson in connection with a house fire that happened on August 8 in the Floydale community.
Ray "Hunter" Fisher, 17, and Matthew Ryan Cook, 22, have each been charged with Burglary and Arson in the fire that killed five dogs and one cat, according to Captain Cliff Arnette with the Dillon County Sheriff's Office.
Arnette said the men broke into the home on Lester Road with intentions to steal some items inside the house.
Arnette wouldn't say how the fire started.
The homeowner was able to escape the fire, but his six animals died, according to officials with the Pee Dee Red Cross.
The investigation is ongoing, Arnette said.
