Death penalty trial set to take place this week in Florence

Fonnelze Delaine ple

guilty to two counts of Accessory Before the Fact of Murder Monday afternoo

, according to Twelfth Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements.

The plea came during jury selection in Delaine's trial.

Prosecutors were seeking the death penalty against him.

He faces life in prison and will be sentenced Tuesday morning.

Delaine orchestrated the murders of Talya Poston, 32, and her boyfriend Billy Hall, Jr., 26. Both were found shot to death on Isaiah Road in Florence County in September 2009.

Clements has called the double murder a "witness assassination case." He says Delaine orchestrated the murders and hired Montez Barker, 28, to kill Hall and Poston because one of them was a witness against Delaine in a pending drug case.

Earlier this year, Barker pled guilty to Murder, Conspiracy, Grand Larceny and Arson.

He faces life in prison and will be sentenced after Delaine's trial.

Laross Graham and Anthony Wingate also pled guilty to charges in connection with the murders.

They will be sentenced at a later time.
