One woman is dead after a boating accident in Winyah Bay.
Delores Jones, 66, from Conway was the victim, according to Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson.
Jones was on the boat with her husband fishing when the couple began having problems with the boat's anchor, a large wave washed over the boat and flipped it over, according to Captain Robert Mccullough, SC Department of Natural Resources.
Her body was found floating in the water, with debris from the boat, a couple hours later.
Mccullough said neither of them were wearing life jackets.
There were no signs of foul play.
Johnson said the autopsy revealed the cause of death was drowning.
The incident is under investigation by the SC Department of Natural Resources.
