Columbia police arrested former 7th Congressional District Democratic candidate Ted Vick, in May, on Devine Street and released the video above Tuesday.
In video, you see Vick get out of his truck, get handcuffed, placed in the cop car and read his Miranda rights.
A police report says Vick was going 44 miles per hour in a 30 zone, smelled strongly of alcohol, had glazed eyes, and was swaying on his feet.
Vick refused a field sobriety test and breathalyzer.
The report also says a female student from the University of South Carolina student was in the married father of two's car after a night of drinking in Five Points.
Jail officers say they found a pistol in Vick's pocket later when he was taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County.
After the arrest, Vick dropped his bid for the 7th Congressional District seat, but Vick still plans to run for a 5th term in the statehouse.
