Darlington native accused of killing a man in Florida
Darlington, S.C. (WPDE) —
Johnny Alan Moore, 63, of Darlington, has been charged with second degree murder in St. Petersburg, Florida, according to an arrest affidavit from the St. Petersburg Police Department.
The affidavit says Moore shot a man to death on November 23 at a home near St. Petersburg, Florida.
It says, "The victim and the suspect engaged in a verbal argument, at which time, the defendant walked outside to his vehicle, upon entering back into the residence, the defendant tells the victim's wife "I'm going to finish this." The defendant then walks into where the victim is laying in bed and shoots the victim in the chest one time."
Moore reportedly then left the home and was later taken into custody by Tampa police, according to the affidavit.
Police said Moore lived on Knight Street in Darlington, before moving to Florida.
He's being held in the Pinellas County Detention Center without bond.
