One Darlington family is mourning an unimaginable loss after five family members, including two unborn children, were killed in a tragic crash Friday night.

Folks in Darlington are coming together to help the Douglas-Rouse family get through their loss and not have to worry about coming up with the money to pay all their expenses.

The family isn't just close knit, they're known in their community.

"[A] very prominent family in our community, we all knew them. They lived just right down the street from my office so these folks, they will be missed," Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee said.

The Darlington County crash happened on Rogers Road. Neighbors that live on the road tell us they've seen multiple crashes.

The South Carolina Office of Highway Safety and Justice Programs said there have been 23 wrecks on the road between 401 and High Hill Road from 2011 to 2017 with one fatal collision in 2015.

Friday night's wreck is one of the worst in more than two decades in the whole county.

"It's not certainly been since I've been coroner, since I've seen five people die in the same automobile collision at one time, but doing some research I can't find in the last 25 years where that's occurred," Hardee said.

There is a Go Fund Me set up for the family and an account at Carolina Bank.

If you would like to donate items, you can contact Lunn at 843-489-1319 or visit her at 805 Chestnut Street in Darlington.
