Crews respond to crash in front of Socastee Swing Bridge

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers and Horry County Fire Rescue crews are on the scene of a crash in front the of the Socastee Swing Bridge.
It was reported around 7:30 a.m. Thursday at 6202 Dick Pond Road in front of the River City CafÃ.
An SUV was on its side down an embankment on the east side of the bridge. A wrecker is pulling the SUV out of the bushes.
The driver was not injured, but will be charged for driving too fast for conditions, according to Highway Patrol.
The Socastee Swing Bridge is now back open.
Still, a void the area if you can as traffic is backed up. Traffic on Highway 544 is also being impacted because of this crash.
