Crews battle large warehouse fire

Horry County Fire Rescue battled a three alarm warehouse fire Saturday morning.

The fire started around 4:15 a.m. on Wesley Street, by George Bishop Parkway, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.

When crews arrived on scene, there were heavy flames, according to HCFR.

Horry County requested mutual aid from Myrtle Beach Fire Department.

The fire was under control by 5:40 a.m.

Horry County Fire Rescue officials said the building is significantly damaged, but not a total loss.

The building housed an automobile repair shop and there were several vehicles inside. According to Horry County Fire Rescue, those vehicles acted as a fuel load.

The fire was contained to one building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
