Conway Police have arrested Derek Manquel Brice, 19, of Conway, in connection with a manhunt that occurred Tuesday in the city limits of Conway. Brice has been charged with Failure to Stop for Blue Lights.
Police were looking for Brice off Country Club Drive in Conway after a Conway Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle he was driving.
"The vehicle did not stop and subsequently crashed into a ditch in front of Conway Golf Club in the city limits of Conway. The driver of the vehicle (Brice) then fled on foot from the vehicle into the wooded area surrounding Conway Golf Club," Conway police spokesman Catina Hipp wrote in a press release.
Officers from Horry County Police Department and Conway Police Department surrounded the area and searched for the suspect. Police set up a perimeter around the area and used K-9 units to look for the man. Officers from Horry County Police Department located Brice at a residence on St. Andrews Road in the city limits of Conway. Brice was taken into custody without further incident.
Brice is believed to be the person that fits the description of a man who was dressed in women's clothing when he robbed the TD Bank on Oak Street in Myrtle Beach last Thursday.
