Freshwater Fish Company in Conway will be featured on an upcoming episode of "Holy & Hungry", a Cooking Channel show hosted by MC Hammer.

According to a news release from Stephen Brown, owner of Freshwater Fish, the show is about people of faith who own restaurants or work in the food industry, and how their faith effects what they do for others.

Brown is the Founder/Pastor of Living Word Full Gospel Baptist Church on Highway 701 in Conway and the founder of Living in the Word Outreach & Broadcast Ministry. He and his family also own and operate Freshwater Fish Company on Highway 701.

Brown said in the release that in March the production team and MC Hammer came to his restaurant and church to film.

Hammer attended church while Brown gave a sermon, then visited Freshwater Fish Company and interacted with diners before visiting the kitchen to see how Brown prepares catfish stew, macaroni and cheese and several other dishes, the release said.

According to the Cooking Channel website Holy & Hungry will air on:

July 20 at 10:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m.

July 22 at 8:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

The site does not give details about which restaurants will be featured on the episodes.

This is the second Conway church organization to be featured on a cooking show.

The St. Nichols BBQFest was featured on "Holy Smokers" on the Discovery Network's "Destination America" on May 27. That show features church-sponsored BBQ fundraisers and the competition they foster.
