Conway police searching for two suspects in Circle K shopliftings

The Conway Police Department is looking for two suspects in several shoplifting incidents they have been investigating, according to a release.

Those incidents have occurred between Feb. 22, 2018 and March 4, 2018 at the Circle K on Highway 544 and Jackson Bluff Road, according to the release.

Police say the two suspects would enter the store and one would distract the clerk while the other would steal cartons of cigarettes from the office area.

A witness stated that the two would exit and leave together on a red motorcycle or moped on Highway 544, according to the release.

John Thurman Trapp Jr., 40, of Conway has been identified as one of the suspects and warrants have been obtained for his arrest for shoplifting, police say.

The second suspect has yet to be identified, and police need the public's assistance in locating him and Trapp, according to the release.
