Horry County police are looking for a 50-year-old Conway man who is wanted for Attempted Murder.
Police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance where shots were fired at a home on Dargan Circle in Conway on Sunday at 6:45 p.m.
The victim was in the driveway with her friend when police arrived, according to a police report.
She told officers that James Rowe, 50, shot at her with a handgun inside the house.
She said Rowe was upset about getting $40 instead of $45 for a picnic table that he built and sold to the victim's daughter.
The victim said an argument started when Rowe made verbal threats against her daughter.
The victim says Rowe grabbed her by the throat, threw her to the ground, and then later pointed a handgun at her and fired while she was in the living room.
The woman said the bullet went past her head, and Rowe shot twice more.
When the woman's friend called police, the victim said Rowe took off on foot into the woods nearby.
She said he had a 9mm semi automatic handgun and possibly a shotgun with him.
Horry County police went after Rowe. According to the report, when they told him to stop, Rowe looked at them and crossed the creek through thick brush.
Police said Rowe is a felon who is not allowed to have possesion of a firearm or ammunition.
When he is found, he will face charges including Attempted Murder and Felon in Possesion of Firearm.
