Cheraw man wanted for Murder

Cheraw police have warrants to charge Daniel Jackson, 21, with Murder in the death of Jamal Gainey last week in Cheraw.

Chief Keith Thomas says Jackson is considered armed and dangerous.

Three others have been charged with Murder in Gainey's death.

Police say
Gainey, 25, was sitting in the driver's seat of a parked car at Second and Front Streets in Cheraw when someone opened the door and shot Gainey on the evening of March 16.

He was able to drive off, but nearly passed out, police said.

Three other people in the car drove Gainey to Chesterfield General Hospital where he later died from injuries suffered in the shooting, according to Chesterfield County Coroner Kip Kiser.
