South Carolina's third-largest county is testing its emergency response to a terror incident.
Government agencies in Charleston County are participating Thursday in their annual emergency drill at two locations in the county.
In past years, the disaster scenario was usually based on response to a hurricane or an earthquake - two of the bigger natural hazards that the county faces. But this year, county officials say participants wanted to test their response to a terror incident.
The exercise consists of responses to an incident in two areas of the county followed by a news conference at the county emergency operations center. There emergency officials will share with reporters their thoughts on how the drill went.
