Traffic is moving after 6:00pm following a three car pile up at at the intersection of Carolina Forest Boulevard and Highway 501.

A silver sedan ran over the top of a red Dodge at the intersection of Carolina Forest Boulevard and Highway 501 just after 4:30 Wednesday.

A third car, a navy blue SUV was on its side. It looked like the red car was sandwiched between them.

Roberta Fye, was involved in the crash. She was driving the red Dodge.

"All of a sudden I hear this loud noise, and I felt the other car come over the top of my car. It didn't feel like it hit very bad, but the other car, the other one that came up and crashed into the driver's side, that one I felt," Fye said.

Assistant Chief Justin Gibbons with Horry County Fire Rescue says of the three drivers, two were taken to hospital.

Fye was not taken to the hospital.

The driver of the silver car was taken to Conway Medical Center. The driver of the blue car on its side in the pictures was flown by medical helicopter to New Hanover Medical Center in North Carolina. Those drivers' conditions have not been released.

Gibbons adds they had to use the jaws of life to get the driver out of the blue car. He says drivers were taken to Conway and New Hanover Medical Centers because Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach was full and diverting traumas to other trauma ER's.

Three lanes of Carolina Forest Boulevard were blocked, and traffic was diverted through the Kroger Plaza onto Highway 501 for about an hour and a half. Traffic on Highway 501 was moving, but was extremely slow.
