Events to recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month continued on the Conway campus of Horry Georgetown Technical College Thursday night.
Dozens of people attended a candlelight vigil at the college. Afterwards, they heard from several victims who are now survivors of domestic violence. And there's a message they want everyone to hear.
"I would just like to ask that everybody look out for each other. If you know somebody who is in trouble, try to help them. And if you are in a bad relationship call CASA to get help and get out, because you can survive," said Lisa Hawkins who is a domestic violence survivor.
CASA, or Citizens Against Spouse Abuse, was one of the sponsors of Thursday night's event.
If you need help, or know someone who is in danger, call their hotline at (843) 448-6206.
