Burglary victim too tired to deal with investigation

A 61-year-old woman said while she was asleep in her hotel room, someone came in and stole her purse, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.

Officers were called to the hotel in the 2300 block of South Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach Thursday morning.

The victim told police that she left her sliding glass door open for her daughter, who left the room around 1:15 a.m. and returned around 2 a.m.

When she got back, the daughter asked her mother for a lighter, which her mom said was in her purse.

The women then realized the victim's purse was missing, along with her glasses and 68 Adderall pills.

They called police.

While waiting for investigators to process the crime scene, the 61-year-old victim told officers she wanted to go back to bed, and didn't want to wait for processing.

So police checked with the hotel to see if there was surveillance video. There was none.
