Burglary suspect found in Arby's air vent appears in court

Laquain Guy in court Wednesday morning

Laquain Guy, 22, who police say was stuck in an Arby's restaurant ventilation system for nearly ten hours in Mullins last week, is out of the hospital and appeared in court Wednesday morning for a bond hearing.

A judge set bond at $15,000 on his Burglary Second Degree charge.

Guy didn't comment on the incident during his bond hearing. His next court appearance is May 29 if he doesn't request a preliminary hearing before then.

Guy was rescued by Mullins Fire and Rescue April 1. An employee was opening the business, when he heard noises. The employee called police and that's when they say they realized Guy was stuck inside the shaft.

He was hospitalized for muscle injuries and dehydration.
