Buffalo Wild Wings armed robbery suspects arrested

Terrence Lamont Melvin

Horry County police arrested two men for the armed robbery of Buffalo Wild Wings in Carolina Forest Tuesday night.

Police say Shamal Davon Dennison, 19, and Terrence Lamont Melvin, 29, walked into the restaurant through through the rear door of the kitchen, showed handguns, then forced the manager into the office where the safe was emptied.

Police say the men then left through the same kitchen door around 11 p.m. in a green Ford Crown Victoria. Horry County Police and Conway police found the car at Highway 501 and French Collins Road in Conway.

Dennison of Myrtle Beach, and Melvin of Conway, were arrested following a traffic stop. The stolen money was also recovered.

Both men are being held at J Reuben Long Detention Center.

An investigation showed there could be a third suspect. Officers believe the man may have acted as a distraction at the front of the restaurant during the robbery.

The third suspect is described as a man with a goatee. He was wearing a red shirt, with a black hat and black pants at the time of the robbery.

Tuesday's robbery was the second to occur at Buffalo Wild Wings in a week. Police don't believe the two incidents are related. The first robbery remains under investigation.
