Brothers arrested for burglary and shooting at Cal Ripkin Experience

Myrtle Beach police arrested two men, who are brothers,in connection to a shooting and break-in at the Cal Ripken Experience on April 10th.

Jared Shirey, 17, and Jordan Shirey, 20, of Myrtle Beach were arrested Thursday afternoon.

Thursday morning, police asked the public to be on the lookout for the brothers.

Captain David Knipes with Myrtle Beach police says the two broke into cars and a building and stole golf carts at Cal Ripkin Experience. When a security guard approached them, one of the men shot at the guard, according to Knipes. He said the guard returned fire. A security vehicle was hit, but the guard was not shot.

Both men are charged with First and Second Degree Burglary. Jared Shirey is also charged with Attempted Murder.
