Bond set for student accused of attempted murder at school

Bond was set at $150,000 for Miracle Harley, 18, who was arrested Thursday after witnesses said she pulled out a gun in the cafeteria of Dillon High School and aimed it at a fellow student.

Harley is charged with attempted murder, disturbing schools, and possession of a weapon on school grounds

Dillon police say Harley was in the school cafeteria about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, when she confronted a 17-year-old student. Police say the student got up and walked away, but Harley went after her and pointed a gun at her.

According to witnesses, another student pushed the 17-year-old victim out of the way, and then staff and students wrestled the gun away from Harley.

The gun was never fired, and no one was hurt.

We are told there may be surveillance video that shows Harley with the gun in her hand, but school officials are still trying to confirm that.

Metal detectors were in place at Dillon High School Friday morning as a precaution.
