Bicyclist hit by car in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach police officers are investigating a wreck, after a bicyclist was hit by a car in Myrtle Beach, according to Myrtle Beach Police Captain David Knipes.

The crash happened at Beach Place and North Ocean Blvd around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver of a red Chevy Cavalier hit the bicyclist and then took off north bound on Ocean Boulevard, according to Capt. Knipes.

Police say the bicyclist was in bad shape.

Horry County Police found the car in Loris Wednesday morning. Police interviewed the occupants.
