Bennettsville woman killed in Charleston

Investigators with the Charleston Police Department are looking into a murder that happened at around 2 a.m. Sunday morning in the northern portion of the Charleston peninsula.

According to the Charleston County Coroner's Office, Robin Williams, 59, died from a gunshot wound to the head. Williams is from Bennettsville, but we're not sure how long it's been since she was there.

According to our affiliate, WCIV, Williams' body was found behind a home currently under renovation on Romney Street.

A spokesman for the police department said they received a call about the shooting and when they responded, they found Williams' body.

Police have not released a motive or any details about possible suspect/suspects.
