CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Authorities are ready to talk about what they're calling a significant criminal investigation in South Carolina.

U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles is in Charleston on Tuesday to hold a news conference with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Among the officials who will be with Nettles for the announcement are Solicitor Scarlett Wilson and Bobby Wright, a resident agent in charge for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The news conference is happening at Wilson's office in downtown Charleston.
