Atlantic Beach finance committee meets for first time in months

The Atlantic Beach finance committee met for the first time in months to discuss the town's audit situation and debt.

The town has not filed an audit since 2006 and now the state has withheld revenue from them.

The finance committee is recommending to council that they hire an independent auditor and to use their state issued accountant more.

Councilwoman Carolyn Cole also told WPDE NewsChannel 15 that they will present a finance report to council on May 6th of the financial state of the town.
