Two officers elected to Atlantic Beach Town Council didn't show up to the council meeting Tuesday, where they were expected to be sworn-in.
Councilwomen-elect Charlene Taylor and Josephine Isom were expected to take their seats after a couple of tumultuous elections.
Taylor and Isom didn't show up, so the ceremony was not held.
"They need to be responsible for their own actions," said Mayor Retha Pierce.
Council passed a motion for the town attorney to send a letter to solicit the intent of Taylor and Isom when it comes to council.
Taylor, Isom and Evans have been waiting to take office since a May election ordered by Governor Nikki Haley. Haley was forced to set an election date when the town election commission threw out the results of the November election and refused to set a new election date.
Evans can't be sworn-in until the election protests are resolved.
