At least one dead after Sunday morning crash in Darlington County

A deadly wreck happened Sunday morning in Darlington County around 3:30 a.m., according to Lance Corporal David Jones with South Carolina Highway Patrol. The crash happened on Ruby Road, two miles north of Hartsville.

Jones said the driver of a Ford truck was driving West on Ruby Road when the driver went off the roadway, over corrected and overturned. He said the driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Darlington County Coroner, J. Todd Hardee, said 51-year-old Raymond Paquette, of Hartsville, was pronounced dead on scene.

No other cars or people were involved in this crash.

The Darlington County Coroners Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol MAIT Team are investigating.
