      Apartment building on fire in Dillon

      Fire at St Stephens Apartments in Dillon/Viewer Picture




      Four families, including eight adults and four children, lost their homes in an apartment building fire in Dillon Wednesday night.




      It broke out at Sunflower Place Apartments, formerly called St. Stephens Apartments, just before 6pm.

      were shooting from the roof of the apartment building.

      ire officials on scene weren't saying much about what started the fire, but neighbors say it was due to an electrical problem.




      They

      say there

      have been several fires at the apartment complex in the past two years. A fire in November damaged three units at the complex.

      Pee Dee Chapter of the American Red Cross is helping the families find a temporary place to live and provided them with food and clothing.

      fire remains under investigation.
