Another arrest in deadly shooting in Conway

Conway police have charged Rashad Derller Burroughs, 19, of Conway, with Murder and two counts and Attempted Murder in connection with shooting on January 7.

Two men were shot outside a home on 6th Avenue in the Sugar Hill community around 2:30 in the afternoon.

One man was shot in the leg. His injuries were not life threatening. The other man, Sylvester Lorenzo Bell Jr., 36, was shot in the head and shoulder and died the next day.

Conway police say they arrested Burroughs without incident Monday night.

On January 14, Conway police arrested 15-year-old and charged him with Murder and two counts of Attempted Murder in connection with this case. The teen is in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Conway police believe Burroughs was driving a car past the home, when the teen, a passenger in the car, fired shots from the car.
