"American Idol" auditions will be held at the site of the old Myrtle Beach Pavilion on July 17, according to a press release.
Auditions will be held from around 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., rain or shine, between 8th and 9th Avenues in Myrtle Beach, according to the American Idol website.
Those wanting to audition need to bring two forms of ID to show proof of your age and a photograph, as well as a completed personal release form, the site says.
"We are absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to roll out the welcome mat for 'American Idol' here in the Myrtle Beach area," said Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce in a press release from May. "This landmark singing competition has been a part of our national popular culture for more than a decade, and we are excited about the possibility that the next American Idol could be found right here along the Grand Strand."
"American Idol" airs on FOX and is in its 13th season.
