The patriarch of the hit reality TV show Duck Dynasty is back.
The A&E network has decided the show goes on with Phil Robertson despite his controversial comments about gay people in a recent GQ article.
A&E released this statement, "A&E has decided to resume filming Duck Dynasty later this spring with the entire Robertson family."
Earlier it said Robertson was "under hiatus from filming indefinitely."
This decision to bring him back comes after the Duck Dynasty family released their own statement saying "We cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm."
"This is one of their most successful properties if not their most successful show on A&E, so I think, you know, this is almost like the Miami Heat benching Lebron James, uh - it's not going to happen," said Stuart Oldham, Editor of Variety.com.
This recent move by A&E is being slammed by gay activist group GLAAD.
