An accident at Highway 17 Bypass and Coventry Road on Sunday night knocked out traffic lights, forcing first-responders to shut down part of the Highway.
Battalion Chief Brian VanAernem with Horry County Fire Rescue says they needed to shut down Highway 17 Bypass so crews with SCDOT could get in and do repairs.
The highway was expected to be open again around 10:30 Sunday night.
One of the crash victims was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, VanAernem added, but none of the injuries were serious.
South Carolina Highway Patrol and Horry Country Fire Rescue were helping direct traffic.
