911 call released from morning of Front Street fire

The 911 call has been released from the morning of the fire on Front Street in historical downtown Georgetown.

The fire broke out near a building in the 700 block of Front Street Wednesday morning and quickly spread.

The first call for the fire came out around 5:23 a.m. The fire started, according to Paige Sawyer who called 9-1-1, in a black trash bag full of cans and debris on the back patio deck area of one of the buildings and spread very rapidly when they got on scene. Soon, they were fighting fire on both sides of the row of buildings- the waterfront side and the street side.
