The Salt Games return to Myrtle Beach this weekend.
The competition kicks off Saturday near the Old Pavilion site in Myrtle Beach.
Among the beach events are a pro-am surfing tournament, a paddleboard race, a men's professional beach volleyball tournament and a kid's run.
The main event is the Lifeguard Games which pits lifeguards against each other in competitions.
This is the second year for the two-day event which is free to attend.
Some of the money raised
supports the Surfrider Foundation, a nonprofit environmental group working to protect and enhance beaches.
