Economic development officials tell NewsChannel 15 Softee Supreme Diaper Corporation plans to hire at least 70 more people before the end of the year.
Last September, company officials announced they needed more than 260 people to work at the Mullins plant. The diaper company is operating out of a former fabric facility on Highway 76.
Economic Development officials tell us ACAS Landing Gear Service is moving the last pieces of equipment into it's facility on Highway 76 in Marion. The company renovated the former Sara Lee Plant.
Officials say the hiring process at ACAS has been slower than expected, but the company is expected to hire another wave of people in January. The company plans to hire a total of 300 people to work at its Marion facility.
