$1 million lottery ticket holder throws up after winning

Jerry Hucks of Rock Hill had to pull over to the side of the road and throw up after learning he'd won $1 million in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing by matching all five white numbers without the red Powerball.

Hucks is a truck builder for Diamler Trucks in Cleveland, NC. He wasn't going to quit but Hucks doesn't plan on working any more overtime.

Hucks had kept the ticket in the side compartment of his truck.

"I didn't even have the truck door locked, and I had a $1 million ticket out there," he told lottery officials when he arrived today to collect his winnings. "Then I can't believe I let three or four guys at work hold my ticket and google the numbers screaming, 'It's a $1 million.'"

Hucks called his girlfriend to tell her he'd won, but was a little late getting home after pulling over to throw up.

Hucks told lottery officials he's paying off his house and will be back at work tomorrow.

Had he paid the extra $1 for PowerPlay, his $1 million prize would have been $2 million.

MR Express in Rock Hill received a commission of $10,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
