Heather Ammons Crawford wins election to fill Viers seat

Heather Ammons Crawford easily won a special election to fill the state house seat Thad Viers resigned from in March.

Crawford won the Republican primary in June and no Democrats filed for the seat.

Of over 20,000 registered voters, only 206 cast votes today. Crawford received 202 votes, and there were four write-ins.

There are five months left in the term today's special election fills.
