Gingrich not ruling out 2016 run

Newt Gingrich

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich was back on the Grand Strand on Wednesday.

Gingrich is touring the Palmetto State to thank voters for choosing him in the Republican Presidential Primary in the state in 2012.

Before speaking at the South Carolina Energy and Opportunity Forum at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on Wednesday, he talked with WPDE NewsChannel 15 about issues ranging from I-73 to a possible run for the White House in 2016.

About a possible bid, Gingrich said, "I think we're not going to rule it out. We're not paying much attention to it right now. We have to pay off our campaign debt, which we're gradually doing ever y month. We're rebuilding our businesses. We're working soon on a movie about Billy Graham called 'God Love You: The Life of Billy Graham.' So we have a lot of projects underway, but certainly not ruling it out as a possibility."
