Octavia Williams-Blake was sworn in for her second term on council.

Williams-Blake contemplated not seeking reelection, but decided it was the right thing to do at the urging of her constituents.

Florence businessman Robby Hill took the Oath of Office to begin his first term on council.

Hill says he's looking forward to serving the people of Florence.

"I'm honored and privileged to be able to serve on council. I think that our city has a lot of great things going for it and we can accomplish a lot together. So, I'm looking forward to joining my fellow council members and working them to get things done for the people of Florence," said Hill.

More than 50 people attended the ceremony.

A reception followed in the lobby of the City County Complex.
