Dennis DiSabato says he wants another shot at the South Carolina District 56 State House Seat. So far, he's the only candidate running to unseat Representative Mike Ryhal.
He ran for the seat in 2012 and was defeated by Ryhal in the Republican primary. Both men are Republicans, and there was no Democratic challenger, so Ryhal won the seat.
At a campaign announcement Monday night DiSabato said, "If you're satisfied that the incumbent's record is consistent with his 2012 campaign rhetoric then you should probably re-elect him. On the other hand, if you haven't seen the decisive leadership, conservative votes, and local results you expected, I challenge you to give me a chance."
The deadline to qualify for the state races is March 30th, the primary is June 10th and the general election is November 4, 2014.
