Orange County Register: Richards, Hurst win the big prizes in NSSA Surfing

Richards NSSA win is part of a three week run that he says is one of the best of his career. He won the "King of the Groms" competition on June 22nd which earned him $900 and an all-expense paid trip to France in October to compete in a worldwide event. He also plans to surf in Indonesia and Bali later on in July to help prepare for further competition. Richards has amateur status, but he has a lucrative sponsorship from Billabong surfboards. Cam's goal is to reach the highest level of professional surfing, but has no specific timetable when he will begin a pro surfing career.
