Woman in her home killed in drive-by shooting in Dillon County

Annie Manning, 60, was killed in her home Monday evening.

Dillon County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting in Dillon County. Three people were shot, including a woman who was killed.

Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley says Annie Manning, 60, died from the shooting.

Captain Cliff Arnette says the shooting happened on Cardinal Drive in the Oakland community just after 6 p.m. Monday.

Witnesses say a man pulled up in a car and started firing shots at a group of boys who were standing under a tree. They say the man then got back in the car and drove away. Witnesses say Manning was killed by a bullet that went into her mobile home.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say her husband and friend were also shot. They survived and have been taken to the hospital.

Sheriff Major Hulon says they have a person of interest in the shooting and will release more information this afternoon. He says they're hearing now that the shooter either drove by the home and fired shots or got out of car and fired shots before getting back into vehicle. He says detectives are hearing conflicting stories.

No arrests have been made. We're told the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is helping with the investigation.
