Woman arrested after newborn hospitalized for cocaine withdrawal

Deputies say a Florence woman used cocaine while she was pregnant, causing problems for her baby.

Stephanie Stewart, 41, is charged with Child Neglect.

Deputies say she gave birth to a baby last February, and the infant tested positive for cocaine.

The child was placed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit due to withdrawals from the cocaine.

Deputies say they've been looking for Stewart for the past year.

They found her Tuesday in Florence.

She's been released from jail on bond.
