Woman arrested after dogs attack two women

Patsy Jackson is charged with six counts of Possession of Dangerous Animals.

The Darlington County Sheriff's Office has charged Patsy Jackson, 48, with six counts of Possession of Dangerous Animals First Offense.

Deputies say her three dogs attacked two women last week in the Quail Point community of Hartsville.

One of the women, Corrine Hatchell, 83, is still in the hospital for her injuries.

The dogs attacked Hatchell while she was working in her yard last Tuesday.

Her nephew shot and killed two of the dogs, but officers say one got away.

Darlington County Animal Control officials say it's possible four dogs may have been involved in Hatchell's attack.

They've set traps in the neighborhood to catch the dogs.

The condition or details about the attack on the other woman have not been released.

Jackson is being held at the Darlington County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
