Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff's Office have charged two suspects with burglary in connection with the May 28 break-in at the Pro Shop at the Traces Golf Course on Southborough Road, according to Captain Michael Nunn with the FCSO.

Richard Joseph Piucci, Jr. and Melvin Jones, Jr. are already being held at the Sumter/Lee Detention Center on unrelated charges.

Investigators say the men entered the pro shop through a side door in the early morning hours.

Merchandise and equipment valued at $5000 was stolen.

Investigators have since recovered much of the stolen merchandise and returned it to the rightful owner.
