Robbers hold Timmonsville bank manager at gunpoint

The Florence County Sheriff's Office is investigating a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon at First Citizens Bank on Main Street in Timmonsville.

Two armed men walked inside the bank wearing bandannas that partially covered their faces, investigators say.

Deputies said one man held the bank manager at gunpoint, while the other stole cash from a teller.

They left in a what appeared to be a white Dodge Avenger with paper tags, according to deputies.

Timmonsville Police Department and the FBI are also involved in the investigation.
