Police make meth bust in Murrells Inlet

Horry County police and Murrells Inlet Garden City Fire Rescue recovered methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia at an apartment in Murrells Inlet Tuesday night.

The investigation started a year ago when police received complaints about an apartment on Sweetwater Boulevard, according to Sgt. Robert Kegler, with Horry County police. They executed a search warrant at the apartment Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Jeanne Marie Abblett, 47, is accused of making Crystal Meth in the apartment. She's charged with Distribution of Meth, Possession of Meth, Simple Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Detectives seized approximately one gram of marijuana, and one gram of crystal meth, along with paraphernalia used in the ingestion of illegal drugs
