Horry County Deputy Coronor Tamara Williard identified the victim as Alton Antonio Daniels, 34, of Shallotte, North Carolina.

Monday afternoon Myrtle Beach police released photos of three people they say may have a connection to the victim.

According to a release from police the photos were taken from the Seaboard Street Wal-Mart Sunday evening around 9.

The release said the three were sought for questioning.

Just before 9 a.m. on Monday officers were called to the parking lot of the Days Inn at the corner of 9th Avenue South and Yaupon Drive in Myrtle Beach for a report of a shooting victim, Knipes said.

When they got on scene, they found the victim in the driver's side of a car. We're told the victim was pronounced dead on scene.

Knipes said the door on the driver's side on the car was open and there was no damage to the vehicle.
