Police investigate armed robbery

On May 14, 2009 at approximately 6:45pm, officers with the Horry County Police Department were called to the Kangaroo Store at 669 Highway 544 near Conway after a report of a Strong Arm Robbery.

When they got there, they learned that two men entered the store and approached the clerk with items to buy.

They gave the clerk money to pay for the items and when the clerk opened the register, one of the suspects reached over the counter, grabbed the money, and threatened the clerk.

The suspects then left in what is believed to be an older model gray mini-van, possibly a Ford. The suspects had the tag of the vehicle covered with a paper bag to conceal it.

Tuesday, detectives with the Horry County Police Department's Violent Crimes Section released still frame shots from the surveillance video of the suspects.

One of the suspects is described as a white male, approximately 30-35 years old, Approximately 6 foot tall and medium build. He also has a moustache and goatee, and a tattoo on the upper right arm.

The second suspect is described as a white male, approximately 35-45 years old, approximately 5'10" tall, medium build with black hair.
